Almost everyday we read a newspaper report wherein a girl or a woman has been tortured and killed by her in-laws. The girls' families are the ones to come forward and register a case against the in-laws claiming that their daughter had been getting harassed for dowry and has subsequently been killed..
I would like to know what these “so-called” parents or blood relatives were doing for those 1,2, or n number of years when their daughter was being tormented. Then they left their daughter to suffer at the hands of her in-laws, but now when she is dead, they want her to get justice. What were they doing earlier sitting quietly? Saving their faces? Pretending in front of their relatives and neighbours that their daughter has a perfect life?? What a sham!
I think they are the ones against whom the first FIR needs to be lodged who callously left their daughters to lead a life of misery.. It is lamentable to say that she is actually better off now, being away from all these heartless people..
so damn right. dey mst thnk twice b4 throwing their daughtrs to such monsters. 4 them, being 'married' z more imp than being 'happily married' or jst 'happy'.
ReplyDeleten daughtrs, in most houses, aren't brought up in ways 2 mk dem thnk independently or feel independent and strng enuf 2 live w/o the support of a 'family'- which constitutes her parents b4 marriage and her husband and in-laws aftr marriage. as they say "ek akeli naari ka is duniya me jeena mushkil h."
dis z d reasn these daughtrs agree 2 spend the rest of their lives with torturing, tormenting in- laws. n thnk dey cnt do nethin abt it.
divorce bhi to kitna bada taboo hai na. vo kaise kr skte ho. bettr 2 live in hell than 2 live wid d tag of a divorced woman.
n nt 2 4 gt- wid d kind of upbringing, it bcums vry difficlt 4 gurls or women 2 mk decisions dat r nt in consonance wid their family's wishes. n kaunsi family chahti h k unki beti ka ghar toot jaye.
hence, the suffering continues.
such problems cn end only wn ppl stp gting scared of the phantom of 'duniya kya kahegi' n strt livin der lives and bring up their children as they shud. cz no 1 really cares.
only den d WOMAN WONT BE THE SUFFERER. AND WE WONT HAVE HOLD D GOVT RESPONSIBLE.... RITE NAMZZ???? :D
